“I live my life breathless. A life of constant motion and excitement.”-Eric Burdon, British Singer

Eric Burdon has had many lives since he left as the lead singer of The Animals, a British band, that recorded such hits as “House of the Risin’ Sun,” “Don’t Let Me Be Misunderstood” and “We Gotta Get Outta Here.” I used to love singing along with those songs, which live on in great cover versions by such artists as the great Nina Simone.  It’s good to see Mr. Burdon is still making music at 72 years of age today. I remember seeing him live at The Bottom Line in the village (Greenwich Village) during his solo career after The Animals. I also enjoyed his work with the great band, War and their collaborative recording of “Spill the Wine.”  Mr. Burdon is still creating and that’s good to see. Happy Birthday Eric!
