“Walk On Through the Storm…” –Rodgers & Hammerstein

Today in music history, Rodgers and Hammerstein’s musical, Carousel opened in NYC in 1945. You’ll Never Walk Alone is so appropriate as we keep reaching out to Boston.

Keeping in mind that it is Film Friday, I loved the movie version of Carousel with Shirley Jones and Gordon MacRae. This is one of my favorite songs:

  1. I was forced to sing “You’ll Never Walk Alone” for both my High School and Junior High School graduation ceremonies. I still liked it a lot. But when I heard Lois Armstrong’s version I nearly cried. It’s so moving. Boston is going through a lot right now. “Keep your head up high”.
