: “When you write a song, a song has longevity.” –Smokey Robinson

Happy 73rd birthday, Smokey!  Smokey’s songs are so beautiful and timeless. Who can’t help but snap their fingers or sway their bodies when listening to Smokey sing his songs or others sing his songs: Cruisin’, Being With You, Tracks of My Tears, Going to A Go- Go, Shop Around, Ain’t That Peculiar, Don’t Mess With Bill, You Really Got a Hold on Me and so many more.

    • And, John….Smokey can STILL sing, Hallelujah!!!!! Keep enjoying his music. Today as I write this reply to your comment, Feb. 21st, is also the birthday of another great singer, Nina Simone!!!! I think on my You Tube menu section (in the “Singers/Songwriters” section), I do have a link to the great Ms Simone. Check it out!
